Hey I just swapped out a B16A for a JDM B18c into a 93 civic dx and i have plugged everything in. And went to go try and start, but starter does not kick in. Instead the cooling fan turns on. I checked the starter is ok. coincidently I touched power to ground and cooling fan turns on?? disconnected ecm and does not do that. Jumped power to starter signal blk/wht wire and fan turns on.

The only thing i can think of is that starter signal blk/wht wire is grounding/ shorting somewhere and powering fans instead.

I'm just stumped right now and don't know what direction to go??
This is a really odd problem?

Any one have any ideas??
