Icon2 CLUTCH REPLACEMENT???

HEY HT
so i have a 97 ek sedan. and my throw out bearing is going out in my clutch. i was going to buy a complete clutch kit to replace it but should i have a shop install it? or is it easy enough for myself to do? im a ok mechanic. i can replace suspension parts, the common oil and transmission fluid changes. and im up for a little challange but is this something i can risk?? idk lol any usefull links?

Its a pretty simple process... As long as you buy the complete clutch kit it will come with the adjust tool so you can center on your clutch... other than that is just taking off bolts and putting everything back together... when your done don't forget to bleed your clutch... and if you spilled tranny oil replace with with MTF

yeah having some of your bodies help you out is always nice.. your gonna need a pair of jack stands to have the car on stands and a jack to help you take out and put back your tranny...

A clutch replacement is pretty straight forward, but if you've never done one before leave yourself a couple of days to do it in case something goes wrong.

Don't disconnect the clutch line from the slave cylinder, just unbolt the slave cylinder from the trans and swing it out of the way to avoid bleeding the clutch.

Remember to remove the lower starter bolt or the trans wont separate, also remember there's one bell housing bolt that goes through the back.

Remember to remove the tin inspection plate as well.
