What fuel injector/system/intake valve cleaners do you guys use? I have used Chevron w/ Techron (Fuel system + intake valve cleaner), Seafoam, and Lucas. The Chevron seemed like it worked the best, but that's prolly cuz it hadn't been done in like 3 years prior to that.

What do you guys use, and how do you like them?

havent used any injector system cleaners, but if you ever get water in your gas, STP Gas Treatment in the red bottle works exactly as advertised.

the Chevron Techron, is that a separate fluid they sell or are you referring to the Techron they put in their gas? And if it is separate, do you just have to pour the stuff into your gas tank? thanks

 

It's a pour-in, seperate from the stuff in their fuel. It's in a black/green bottle. They also have a red/green bottle, but it doesn't include the intake valve cleaner.

I used STP fuel injection system cleaner in a couple older cars i've worked on. Works well.

There are three diferent techron bottles...something like injectors, fuel system, and engine cleaner...the thing is, they all have the same damn chemicals in them, they are just different concentrations.

I have also heard that it is the only fuel injector cleaner that is recommended by Honda...

 

Redline seems to work for me. Did it about three times on my way to 80k, and I pulled the injectors to take to RC to have them cleaned and balanced. RC said they didn't need to be cleaned which is cool cause RC says they ususally need to be cleaned by 80k.
