B20ek speedo problems

Default B20ek speedo problems

I am trading my del sol for a swapped civic and the speedo works but twiches and jumps around as it accelerates.....
Any info????

^Check the speed sensor connection on the trans. Any CEL?

No cel showing bulb light upon startup. And speed sensor seems to be undamagedinternally ans externally

take off the distributor cap/rotor, the cover underneath the rotor and check the connections to the ignition control module. tug on them and see if they slide easily in place or if they're snug.

It's easier to do this with the distributor off so just mark a line with a marker on the top adjustment where the distributor meets the block before you start taking the distributor off.

you can also take the ignition control module to autozone and they'll test it for you. Their little machine shows all green lights when everything is good, if any red light comes on something is wrong with it.
