Default Rod Bearing Differences (Oil Hole) H22A1/A4, H23, F22 etc Help!

Hey guys there is one engine that doesnt have the oil hole in the rod bearing which is it?

Ordering new acl bearings for my H23V and Crower has no oil hole in the H23 Rods, rather get bearings without hole...

H23/F22?
H22A1?
H22A4?

From what I remember the hole is for non vtec motors H23/F22 which don't have oil squirters?

I just got new rod bearings from ACL for the F23, and they came with no oil holes... I believe it's the same part as for the H23 and F22. I hunt down the part number if you want confirmation.

F23 (B Series) are not as wide as H22 rod bearings

F23 = B series, what? Anyway, the ACL part number for F22, H22, and H23 is 4B1936, but those rod bearings do have the oil holes in them. I couldn't find anything from ACL for those engines that don't have the oil holes, sorry.

F23 have a b series width not same as h22/f22/h23

Yea I think ACL switched recently to putting holes in all... even though i have in the garage 4B1936A non race. Reason I am asking is cause I would think without the oil hole would be stronger then especially having a rod with no oil hole in it.

I don't think you have to worry about bearing strength so much (especially in the middle); they either burn and/or spin when they fail.

I have a question it is a bit off topic so i want to bump up the compression ratio of mine h23a vtec i have seen a set it is this one:
NIPPON RACING PRELUDE TYPE S PISTONS in 87mm 87.5mm 87.75mm and 88mm

EAGLE FORGED 5394 H-BEAM CONNECTING RODS WITH ARP 2000 BOLTS

NPR GAS NITRITE N-51 TREATED PERFORMANCE RINGS.

9310 CASE HARDENED WRIST PINS WITH UPGRADED CLIPS

KING PERFORMANCE ROD BEARINGS

would that work for me? i already know that only the type s pistons take me to 11.5-1
can i use the connecting rods from this set ? without any problems. or use f22c pistons with thicker head gasket and retarding on the camgear i dont know how to calculate the valve to piston clearnce.

Thank you

The structural integrity of the bearing will not be effected with or without the oil hole. I drilled the hole in my ACL bearings in my H22A4 and ran them hard for 5 years. Sold the motor a while back, never had any issues.
