My 93 civic hatch manual wont start but i can pop start it?
I turn the key to the ignition and it wont do anything but my lights come on and my radio come on but my gauges wont light up now
So far ive tried:
jumping it
tapping the starter
bought new spark plugs

all you hear is a click when you try to start it?
clean the terminals that go onto your starter. if that doesn't work replace your starter.

make sure the small wire is hooked to the terminal...also make sure its getting power when you turn the key
I would bet on ign switch or bad starter.
also...is this for an auto or a manual? This could open up more troubleshooting ideas

i had this problem last week.check your starter and make sure the wire are all connected. i thought it was my clutch sensor just to look under the hood and find out there was a wire that was disconnected

its a 93 civic hatch manual and i hear my fuel pump go on and than i turn the key and nothing happens. It didnt look like any wires were disconnected when i looked
Did you see post #4? The red arrow points to the rubber stopper that presses on the safety switch. Is the stopper missing?
Check the fuses, my brother had the same problem so we changed the dizzy, changed the computer, checked his wiring and all it ended up being was a Goddamn fuse
i had this problem last week....happened right in the middle of delivering pizzas...i have a 94 civic dx...it would "pop" off starter was good...alt was good....after about an hour of pulling stuff off and getting them tested i pulled the clutch switch off and bypassed it with a paperclip....it worked
