Default b16a/b18c clearance in 90 crx

my 90 crxsi is lowered 2.25.(tokico/h&r race). i plan to swap either or b16 or b18c.
just out of curosity, will b16a/b18c both hang low enough to rip the oilpan?

i prefer b18c, but im thinking it may hang lower because of the extra 7mm deck hieght on the block, am i correct?

crx engine bay is tight anyway, i know i need this:
notch the crossmember for header for either motor, i will talk to smsp for custom header
dent the side for alternator for either motor
for b18c cut the webbing on the hood

anything else?. thanx

u run the risk of scraping the oil pan with both engines but you'll have to go through the header first. the header wraps under the oil pan don't forget. that is the only problem I have with my b16 is the fact that on rare occasions I scrape my dc sports header, I would assume that the b18's are going to sit about 3 or 4 mm lower though, but it all depends on what mounting kit u buy.

b18c has a taller head than the b16. so it won't necessarily hang lower

my b16 hangs real low and has scratches all over the oil pan. there really is no way around it unless you have a skid plate.
