Default Transmission Fluid

Hey, first time posting on here!!
My question is I'm replacing my clutch soon with a Competition Clutch stage 1.5 with a 11.5lb Flywheel and need tranny fluid/oil or whatever. My cousin is helping me but he wanted me to find out if I can use oil for the K series tranny cause he knows that you can do that to the b series but wasn't sure for K series. SO, I did some research and seems to me like everyone uses Amsoil MTF but I just wanted to confirm it. Say I use Mobil 5w30 for regular oil, and then use amsoil for tranny fluid/oil, correct? Sorry for the long post, Just wanted to confirm it because I wasn't so sure on it. Thanks!

Most people will say to use Honda MTF (YES the general Honda MTF works for K and B series transmissions) since its OEM you really can't go wrong with it.

I personally like Pennzoil Synchromesh. You can use Amsoil Manual Trans Synchromesh too but that stuff is pretty expensive.

You will need to buy 2 quarts. But I don't know the exact measurement, but I think its 1.5 qts.

What I do is fill up until it starts pouring out the fill hole. Usually starts pouring out around 1.4 - 1.6 qts.

Exactly. Not sure if you will need new crush washers but I got them anyways while getting the oil. They were like $.60 or something each.

I use to use Pennzoil Synchromesh but Quaife told me not to use that stuff. If you need synchromesh they said use the GM transmission synchromesh fluid

+1 for Amsoil Syncromesh, took away the notchiness shifter feel that the OEM fluid couldn't.

They didn't really get into why but they said something about the way it breaks down and something about it doesn't mesh well with their LSD.
