Default I need some help from the turbo gurus

I have a 91 CRX, it's stock right now but I plan to go FI some time in the future, I've been doing a ton of research about the parts I'll need and what the whole process entails, If you guys could point me to some reputable manufacturers that would be great, would it be possible to meet my power goal and have the turbo spooled up around 3500-3800 rpm?

goal, and part list
250whp
turbo Garrett, turbonetics, precision
intercooler
injectors 370cc or 440cc
fuel pump walbro 255 lph
wastegate
manifold
blow-off valve HKS, Greddy, Tial
oil lines
catch can
charge pipes
engine swap to d16z6
tune

If you want 250whp out of a D series, you're going to want forged internals.

As for which turbo to get to match your spool/power goals, that will require some math. Plot out points on a compressor map, then choose your A/R and wheel.

I plan on keeping it under 200whp for my boosted daily, so I went with a small OEM Gerrett turbo, .42/.48. Quick spool, it will run out of breath at high revs, but I rarely go past 5k in normal driving. And best of all, it's water cooled.

I knew I would need forged internals, I really need suggestions on turbo sizes and manufacturers
thanks Bix VT

I ran a T3 Super 60 on my last build, it spooled before 3500, but it was also a little larger of an engine at 1.9L. It was good for 240whp before I sold it to pay for college. I know the guy I sold the car to pushed it further, but I don't know how far. It should be good for 250-300 before it starts getting painfully inefficient.

As for brands, the 3 in your first post are all good. I prefer Garrett, but that's just me.

intercooler - ebay
injectors - dsm with resistor box
fuel pump walbro 255 lph
wastegate - tial
manifold - Not hard to make one work, or just simple log type
blow-off valve - tial
oil lines - steel braided with an fittings
catch can - ebay or make one
charge pipes - ebay

things you didn't mention
arp head studs
head gasket
new timing belt/water pump
new bearings and rings would be a good idea, but not mandatory. Do a leakdown/compression test before boosting your motor
clutch
bigger fan/radiator

A T3 Super 60 would be a fun quick spooling turbo and will get you to 250whp. Also a Garrett T3T4 50 trim will be a good choice and spool up a little later than the Super 60 and it will make 300whp so a bit more room for more power.

on the T3 Super 60 is it worth the extra $250 for the ball bearing style, or just stay with journal bearings?

Not worth it IMO, stick with the journal bearing turbo.
