95 integra gsr power locks
so i just bought a 95 integra gsr and the power locks dont work on it for some reason. i replaced the under dash fuse box because the other one was messed up so i thought that would fix it but still nothing. does anybody have any ideas? also the passenger side window switch doesnt work and i tried a different switch and still nothing any ideas on that either?
Aftermarket alarm? I just bought mine with the same problem but since they were hack jobbed into the alarm I know right where to start. Look for a random horn in the engine bay or some shotty wiring under the dash driver side
sorry for the thread jack but i have the same problem with my new purches aswell
it's a 1994 dc1
the issue is the power window and lock's and recently the back light's aaaaaand dash light's.
checkd the two ground's by the headlight's the one by the kick panel that was loose! fixd and cheecked all the fuse's.
ive had the door card off ignition on 'ON' and no voltage to the motor or switch.
im new to the electric side of thing's but have the manual and keen to fix please help!

"ive had the door card off ignition on 'ON' and no voltage to the motor or switch"
I am guessing that you mean you have had the door panel off, and when testing for voltage with the ign. switch on you have no power at the motor, [assuming power window motor] and no power at the power window switch, is that correct?
The power windows on our cars are "ground at rest, polarity reversing", meaning both the wires going to the power window motors are grounds when the switch is at rest, [not rocked for up or down], when you rock the switch for up the ground is "lifted" off one of the wires to the motor and power is supplied, [window rolls up] when the switch is rocked for down, the ground is "lifted" off the other lead to the motor and power is supplied, [window rolls down]
With that said, the first thing to do is check for grounds on the leads going to the window motors, both leads should have full continuity to chassis ground.
You already said there is no power at the switch, there should be two (2) leads with power. [ign. switch on] at the drivers door switch and one (1) with power on the pass. door switch, there will be a fuse for each door, in under dash fuse box, also a power window relay that has two (2) fuses, a main fuse, [50A] in engine bay fuse box and a 20A in the under dash fuse box, [the window fuses are also 20A], test for power at all the fuses.
Also as above, check the door boots for broken wires, it is very common.
Question, are New Zealand cars RHD? 94

yeah i found a few broken wires in the driver side door boot and sure enough they are main ones that go to the lock and window. but i tried to splice them back together to test them and still no power. would the power lock module maybe be bad? or is there a relay for the locks somewhere because in other cars you would at least hear a relay click

I have done cars where one wire was obviously broken but far more where just broken inside. 94
ok i talked to the kid who i bought the car from and apparently they worked until the dumbass tried to jumpstart it and hooked the jumper cables up backwards. so im not sure where to even start in a situation like that
