Manual or Automatic? sounds like the starter is on its way out. I assume you mean you sometimes have to "flick" the key to get the starter to catch?

Aside from a bad battery terminal, or curroded or loose. I would think the starter as well.

Now my accord seems to be starting fine, but after a tad of driving i hear a grinding sound, like a metal to metal coming from the clutch area, i just had the clutch replace and the flywheel resurfaced in about december...

In my experience, definately a starter issue. Starter could be shifting on turnover, check and bolts. I believe 3 14mm heads. If strapped for cash, get a reman. starter. But you et what you pay for. Btw might as well check the plugs, wires and distributor cap/rotor. Wouldn't hurt, good luck man.
