94 Civic a/c won't turn on
It is a 94 Civic 2-dr coupe and the A/c will not come on. I checked it for leaks and found the schrader valve bad and replaced it. I then vacuumed it and charged it. I found the pressure switch on the drier and found that it had power on both sides. I used a power probe to ground it and the compressor and fan both came on and ran. I ran it until it cycled off. It had about 30psi on the low side and about 175-200psi on high side. I even read on another thread that bad grounds will cause problems also. I took off the ground from the frame and the one from the valve cover to the radiator support and wire brushed both cables and mounting surfaces to bare metal. This is a crappy design by the way. Where should I go next? Is there a diagnostic thread that I missed? I also forgot to mention that I don't know which relay is for the a/c. The car came with no owner's manual and no stickers under the dash nor under hood power distribution box. I printed out a list of fuses from another thread on here but it had no under hood information.
thanks for the reply Ron, but I couldn't get back to you because my keyboard was broke! In the meantime, I have sold this car and bought a 99 that I am sure I will need help on also.
