Default Rate my oil return drain kink - *pics*

Thanks for looking, if anyone has suggestions on how to solve this problem please post up and let's hear the suggestions.

For reference:
1990 CRX
DOHC ZC
TE04H Turbo
HF Manifold

The closer I get to a vertical clock on the turbo the closer my drain gets to the crossmember.

Can I drive the car with a kink like this?

Some options I was pondering:
Cut and notch the crossmember to all bending space in that area (this might be pricey and difficult for most shops without removing the turbo or dropping out the crossmember.

Fabricate a new adapter plate that isn't as thick to give myself more room to bend.

Sorry for picture quality, I was blindly shooting in the dark.

The turbo drain fitting is a very simple flange with a smooth neck, no threads.
It has an angle to it, not sure exactly what degree it is and I can't find any old pictures of it on my computer.

I would guess it to be about a 30-40 degree bend as is.

See how the clamp is at a different angle than the inlet of the flange?

I had a kink much worse than that on my single cam turbo and it worked without issues, but like previously stated a more angled fitting would fix the problem if it really bugs you.

use a 45 and get real 10an flare line, those band clamps are cheesey and leak prone. if one fails so does your engine, you'll scar the cams, lifters, pistons and bores running dry even for a few seconds if it goes at high rpm

that said, i doubt what you have will be a problem short term, personally i wouldn't chance it when it's under $50 for a real 10an flare line and adapters. is that 5/8" line?

LULZ!!! You should of never left your driveway to begin with but that's another tread and another story.

Dude your asking for trouble with those band clamps. It wouldn't take much for road debris to hit that loose and you will be pouring all your oil out on the road.

oh I left my driveway and ripped to 160 no problem my drain has got to be ok after a 5 hour trip

this is very poor maybe just to get down the road at best, also just some drain fittings and braided hose you can make it good

I can't believe people are complaining about band clamps... 1. Those are hose clamps. 2. They're fine.

putting an AN fitting on there is ridiculously pointless for anything other than show.

Kink is also fine.

Oil drains on turbo's aren't even pressurized so how anyone is thinking those clamps could come off is beyond me. Road debris? Seriously?

Stock Honda radiator hoses don't even use hose clamps that strong and they're actually under pressure.

To add a conclusion to this thread, I took the advice of most of the people who were telling me to set up a drain at a proper angle...
For the record, I didn't drive the car with that old kink setup.

My turbo will be much happier.

New drain installed:
