My roommate drives a bone stock 2000 EX as a daily. The car shut off in the middle of the road the other day and wouldn't start back up. We messed with the wires and pug gap and it started so we replaced the plugs, wires, cap and rotor all at the same time and it was good to go. Replaced one new wire as it wasn't catching the plug properly and now it won't start again.

Any help troubleshooting would be great!

Is it getting spark?

 

Yeah. One of the wires wasn't snug so we traded it in for a new one and now it won't start. We tried the old one and it worked, but now that wire doesn't work either and it won't start at all.

 

test the coil and ignitor:

 

Ignition switch?

 

i bet its the ignitor or coil
