car won't start after tune up, civic ex 2000
I tuned up my car 3 days ago because it sputters a bit when I rev up...its not that serious yet but I just don't feel comfortable w/ it. I went to buy parts ...rotor, dstbr cap, spk plug wires and spk plugs, w/ this car....and cooled down the car for about 3 -4 hrs, then did the job. when I started the car it did start for a good 2-3 seconds then it bogd off and died as if was drowned, then I couldn't start it anymore. I replaced the old parts back and it wouldn'r start anymore.
By the way, before I did the tune up I found 1 of the spk plug and the wire boot loose...so I tightened it and went to buy the parts and I didn't experience the same sputter as it was, but then I still went ahead and did the tune up since I already bought the parts.
I'm a little novie at this job so i did not remove the neg terminal off the battery and have to pry the rotor out a bit 'coz it's a little rusted....do you think I damaged something during the procedure...I bought the duralast distbr kit, bosh wires and ngk plugs.....any help out there?

I'd bet when you did your prying you pried on the ignitor or something else in the distributor. You probably have broken parts in there now. You did get the plug wires on correctly, right?

First things first:
Did you pull all 4 wires at the same time? If so, are you sure you put them back on in the correct firing order?
Did you gap the plugs correctly?
If yes on both, then my guess is that you messed up your distributor.

Check your fuel filter and pump. My car did this and it was the fuel filter....quite funny actually I was chasing every wire I could find and my "mom" said did you change the fuel filter....I'm 35 years old and was like duh.
