Icon2 Another oil leak under tranny

I replaced the clutch like a month ago, along with the flywheel, tranny shifter bushings, and the rear main seal. The process was easy but time consuming, the only thing was that the axles were kinda troubling to put back at the end. One thing thought, is the first time I put everything back, the tranny would not shift into any gear with the car on. So I called a mechanic and he did his magic putting the thing back properly and shifting properly. This weekend when I got under the car, I saw a huge oil mark on the tranny, so I dont know if something with the axles went bad and leaking oil with every try (took them out and in various times from tranny to fit properly), or I didnt put the rear main seal back PROPERLY. I just hope its not the rear seal cuz I'd hate to take everything down again. Any suggestions please?!?!?!

Well if its oil then it's prolly the main seal unless you put oil in your transmission.

The oil looks like clean brand new oil, so it cant be dirty engine oil because its been a while since the last oil change. My only guess is leaking tranny oil.

Well figure out which one it is. It's not that hard to check fluid levels.

You might have torn a seal on the tranny from the axle splines. I'd wash it and then recheck starting from the top of the trannny and work your way down.

Also what was the issue with it not going into gear, was the clutch master cylinder/ slave cylinder not pumped up or something???

is the clip on the end of the axle still good?? if that goes, you dont get a good seal inside the tranny...

Aight Ill check it out. Idk for sure what it was, all the mechanic did that I didnt do was shift thru gears 1-5 and R while the tranny was off using the shifter bar, thats it and its worked fine since then

Is that the little C looking clip thing at the end of the axle spline that goes into the tranny?
