Hello. About a year ago I swapped my D16y7 out for a JDM 96-00 SOHC ZC engine. The car is a 96 Honda Civic DX 2 door. I was wondering if I am using the correct ECU for my SOHC ZC engine. The engine has a y8 style manifold stock. The ECU I am running now is a P2E. Is this the right ECU? Thanks in advance.

Sorry to break it to YOU but the JDM SOHC ZC came in the 96-00 JDM integra fourdoor. and as for the original problem, i'm struggling to find an ECU to match my SOHC ZC so don't feel bad just keep researching. go to "theZCR." its an all ZC forum, its heaven.

 

P2E is as close as you're going to get in a USDM ECU.

 

Well for now it is running fine. I could tell after swapping the y7 with the vertical manifold to the ZC with the Y8 style manifold that I picked up a couple of horsepower. It felt like it had a little more pep. I mean for a d16 it is nice. Gets great gas mileage. It would be nice to swap put rods and pistons in it and put a turbo on it. I think that would be a good project.

 

zaxfire69 - need your help if you can. i just picked up a JDM ZC SOHC non-vtec. has ZC block with P2A-10 head and p2k hf-2 intake - sounds the same as your engine. Anyhow - i too am trying to figure out which ECM/ECU to use. Would you be able to post the additional numbers for the P2E ECU you're currently running (specifically, the revision number)? In my case, i'm trying to put this ZC into my 1997 civic HX - seems like i'll be able to use a P2E with some minor harness/connector rewiring. Thanks so much for any other swap info you may have... i haven't seen much for these 96-00 ZC engines.
