del sol ecu problem
hey guys ive been messing with this for weeks now and doing lots of research so i figured maybe someone on here could help me,
ive been fighting with getting my fuel pump to prime, so i went through all the steps(main relay, clean ground ect) and finally went to go try a different ecu, the ecu in my del sol is a P28 A01, my buddy gave me a P28 A02 to try in it and when i hooked it up my car was very sluggish, and id hit about 3k rpm and it would start cutting the fuel out like you were hitting the red line and wanting to die, it was throwing a CEL the second i turned it on, i didnt have time to see what it was so i put mine back in it, from what ive found they say that a P28 A02 should work with my engine (D16Z6) that its just a newer model of ecu? but it makes my car run like ****, any ideas? much appreciated thanks!

by the way my fuel pump primes, it just takes a few min for it to do so, and its also doing this weird thing where if it rains it doesnt want to prime for a while either, but if its nice and sunny out its fine, donno
look in the stickies at the top and figure out how to pull the codes. then pull those codes and come back here and tell us what they are.

i didnt get a walbro but ive already replaced the fuel pump, main relay, checked my grounds, checked my car for water and everything and its still doing it, i think its the ecu, i just donno why my car hates that p28 a02, ill have codes pulled by tomorrow, i appreciate it guys
ok guys sorry life has been freakin nuts for me, i pulled the code its saying a code 4 which i find as a crank position sensor, but when i had my old ecu it didnt throw any codes and ran fine, any ideas?

well what i ended up doing is tracking down a P28 A01 put it in and my car started up fine and ran great, i donno why it gave me that code, my friend is about to put it in a civic with a Z6 swap so ill let you guys know what happens
EDIT my setup was just a stock 93 del sol SI with the D16Z6, nothing special, but it had a P28 A01 and i tried putting the P28 A02 in it and it was making my car run like crap, i appreciate the help guys

ok so i think it was all just a bad ecu, my buddy took that ecu and tried putting it in my friends car with a Z6 swap and it did the same thing, thanks everyone for the imput and help much appreciated
