Help for 11s?! Please chime in!
Took my Integra to Sacramento raceway this weekend and was surprised(and pleased) at the results, but as we all know, we only want to go faster.
My goal was to get into the 12s on 8psi of boost, and I reached it on the second run with only launching higher. Due to the long drive back home, I didn't want to risk anything(plus I got eliminated).
Now I'm curious if I can get into the 11s with this setup! Please chime in and give positive advice!
Complete breakdown of my setup
1998 Acura Integra GSR 2dr(full interior, DD)
Motor:
B20Z block
Arp rod bolts
Refreshed block(new rings, hone, bearings)
Napa Headgasket
Stock gsr p72 head
Gsr cams
Supertech valvetrain
Stock GSR IM with butterflies disabled
Stock GSR throttle body
stock gsr trans
Exedy Organic clutch
Stock gsr flywheel
Turbo setup:
Stainless steel quick 4
eBay 57 trim
3 inch open downpipe
Precision 1,200cc
2.25 intercooler piping
eBay intercooler
Suspension:
Kyb gr2s
Stock cut shocks front, eBay coils rear
Energy suspension mount inserts(torque and rear only)
Eyeballed alignment
This setup previously made 296whp 215 torque @8psi of boost, but did a base run before hitting the 1/4 and was only making 265whp 200torque(same dynojet) tuned on cromepro
Drove 3hours to Sacramento, slapped on 22x8x13 slicks mounted on lenso's and did 3 runs
1st run (tires at 12psi, launched at 6,000ish no antilag, bogged on the line and missed 3rd) didn't read at a spot because there was crash and that probably messed up the sensor
2.185
5.826
8.833
??
13.406@107
2nd run (launched higher 7,000 tires still at 12psi)
1.957
5.468
??
10.782
12.820@109mph
Last run (finally got my hands on a tire pressure gauge and realized my tire pressure was at 12psi! Dropped them to 10psi driver and 9psi passenger, launched at 7,300)
1.779
5.219
8.075
10.517
12.561@10mph
All runs preloaded(makes a huge difference)
So I was wondering, if I can get the car back into the upper 200s(hairline cracked manifold, warped flange), a better clutch, bigger slicks(24s?), and a stiffer rear suspension, there's a possibility for 11s. I think that the car COULD HAVE pulled off a 12.3-12.4 with lower tire pressure, but idk, just a guess.
What do u guys think? Is it possible with upper 200s to get into the 11s?! And what do you guys recommend to help me to get there?

Maybe anitlag or traction bars?

Don't want to be the dick to say fix your junk haha
But, Fix your junk.
it will go 11's might have to drop the tire pressure lower. It will help bigtime.
Traction bars could help if the rest of your chassis is setup correctly.

you will prob need to trap 112-115 to run 11's
I have a full interior teg and went 11.4 on 93 pump gas with stock b16 bottom end and a 60 trim

i went 11.63@121mph with 295whp and 200ft lbs in a 2,200lb eg....it's not hard at all. get those 60's down to 1.5's
i had my slicks at 7 psi (23x8x13's)
get rid of that ecrap turbo.

100octane and c16 is not really an option. I really want to tune on e85, but there isn't any near where I live

keep in mind that I'm on a B16 motor so it might need a bit more boost to make power compared to a 2 liter motor. I think you will meet your goal of running 11's for sure man. Keep us posted how it goes.
Thank you for the positive feedback bro. Hopefully I can get back on track in time for springjam and dip into the 11s! So close I can taste it!!
my clutch was slipping like crazy the first time i launched (preloading), and ended with a 12.35@115 or so. the next launch i just dropped the clutch..i had like a 1.7 60ft, but went 11.83 @118
this was on stock axles and 8 psi in the slicks...you just need more seat time, and you will get used to the car. have you got an alignment done? that will help out also. boost pressure doesn't matter, it's the power that you can put to the ground. good luck!!!

Better suspension, traction bar, and run some 23s (with ur power 24's will be too big) and get an alignment. More seat time is the key....
I was hitting low 11's and now to low 10's and all I did was all of the above.
(except for 23's)
Good luck!

Hopefully when it's all said and done, the car will be right around the 300 range! Plans are new clutch, maybe some rear launch springs, 23x?x13 slicks, alignment, take out what I can to reduce weight, and fix the manifold leak! i hope that will be enough to bring the ETs down to the 11s. ****, I'm happy as f*ck about running a mid12 sec pass already!!

Thanks for the positive input and contributions! MOre is always welcomed!!
some may disagree with me but i say if your car is in the 300 range (like you said) some 23x8, good stiff suspension, traction bar (will really help), some wieght reduction (not cutting doors or rear quarter) you should make a 1.5....but that with all that is will be useless if you dont get the seat time...what makes a car, is the person behind the wheel.
btw what rpm did you launch at??? antilag or 2 step??

Running 12.5 is great for such a simple setup! I wouldn't hope for 1.5X 60', maybe a 1.70 is doable, which will get you closer to a low 12 pass. I would look into getting that 15ft/lbs TQ back, then maybe 23" slicks after you wear those 22's to the ground. Good luck.
Btw, my Civic had 24.5" slicks and est 350hp. Best 60' I had was a 1.75 at that power level, but never got a chance to dial in the launch control at the track.
