Tryna get a dc4
I had a gsr teggy as my 1st car blew the motor wayy back blah blah blah now I cant afford a gsr teggy but want to get a base model ive never driven on one 140bhp stock weighing around 2600 thats slow but im just wondering is it still quick I mean 16sec 1/4 mile im broke so im not going to be building it anytime soon are they still fun to drive? Will it feel like a slug compared to the gsr? lol
its a slug compared to a gsr, and the money it takes to make one as quick as a gsr will make a gsr thatll still kick its ***. building a proper lsv also costs more than buying a gsr. so if you cant afford driving a gsr, might as well not modifying it at all.

oh I will add this though. I have a 1990 db1, stock engine, ebay coils, going up and down mountains up here is loads of fun. the turns are so frequent that ls vs gsr isnt really a big deal. I dont race, just spirited driving in my lane when no cars are up there. my friend with a gsr has a hard time keeping up with my pace because of how planted my car is. so yes, it still can be fun, depending on whats fun for you.

non vtec is fun too. and responds to boost very nicely.
though its not about how fast it is, but how fun it is.

jimbo the integra was never marketed as an eco car. when it came out it had I think the most powerful 4 banger honda made, and along with the ef civics, made a name for themselves with their nimble handling. even though its not a gsr or type r, its still a very peppy and sharp handling car.
by todays standard theyre pretty weak, but back then, when it came to quick 4 bangers honda were at pretty high up there.

honestly it still is a lot quicker than the 2002 civic I had when I was in school, not as fast as my 2011 GTI, but still has decent power to move in traffic. Im comfortable with the 140 or so hp. A GSR transmission would probably make it better, but it is still fun to drive.
This is exactly what I did in my old Integra, Ls with b16 tranny, Ls 5th gear, 10lbs w/ a garret t3/t04, lovefab mini me mani (retained AC) made 285whp/260trq. Ran that setup for 4 years with only maintenance issues (cam seals, couplers, clamps loosing etc) Absolutely loved that car.
Op, don't discredit a Ls Integra, non vtec Integra motors are very well built and with the right mods can be a blast to drive.
