IMW-Tuned: 400+whp Stock-Block B18C1
Had the opportunity to tune a customer's stock-block GSR EG today. Here's the results.
406whp / 276wtq @ 14psi
E85 fuel
The setup is as follows:
Stock internal USDM GSR
ARP head studs
Blox intake manifold
eBay ramhorn manifold
Precision SC61
Precision 600hp intercooler
3" downpipe (open)
RC1000's
Tuned on Neptune
For being a super cheap setup, this car performed very nicely.

2nd.
You should read the articles available on E85. They don't have as many BTUs as even pump gas, so 55 gallons would last half the time as 55 gallons of 93 octane.
Lastly
You're in Kansas. That stuff should be EVERYWHERE. Perhaps it was just in Jackson/Johnson counties (East of Topeka) that it is readily available.

about how long do you think it'll hold? and a question for you guys, when yall throw headstuds on a motor that's never been cracked open do yall shave the head down or anything? or just buy a new headgasket and hope for the best?

IMO. If motors never been taken apart and has never has got hot.. there shouldn't be a need to mill the head. new head-gasket and your set.. another way that worked for me before is just put one head-stud in at a time without removing the head. once all are in just torque all to spec.

Thanks, James.
This was actually the second time I have tuned this car. It was here about a week ago, but I sent it home early, as the manifold gasket blew out halfway through the session.
And actually, now that it's been mentioned, I totally forgot to add that it does have ITR cams as well.
