speaker question
just wonderign what size the back speakers in an 09 si are.. i ahve 2 JL 6x9s that i bought for my prelude and took out when i sold it.. wondering if they can swap in or if i need a harness or if there a different size all together.. if they are wrong size id like to know if the speakers are still changeable.. if they cant go in i will just throw them in my camaro and call it done but they are really good speakers and id like to throw them in my civic if possible
Typically you can get a harness for like 7 bucks plugs into the stock plug and gives you a positive and negative slide terminal for aftermarket speakers, if you get 6.5 should just drop in. The 6x9's will not work unless you modify the rear shelf.
I'm still using the stock deck (LX Coupe) with Polk DB651s (coaxial). Just solder the connection off the old speakers and solder it back to the new ones. No need to buy a harness.
i know for my prelude i was supposed to get a harness or cut the clip off but i didnt i just used a set of terminal picks and picked apart the clip that goes on the stock speaker and the clips plugged right onto my speakers.. but i think ill just put these into my camaro and call it done
