I just bought rear trailing arms from 94-01 integra. If I were to lower the car would I need ex springs in front and teg springs in the rear?

 

The springs/shocks on both those cars are the same dude so to answer your question NO.

 

Also get a 4040 prop valve. Look it up. You need this for the brake swap

If you have a 96-00 civic you DO NOT need to change the prop valve. Period.

Don't waste your time.

When I swapped rear integra trailing arms onto my 2000 civic, all I kept was the civic suspension, and the civic toe compensator arms.

I have s2000 front calipers for brakes, and integra rears. I didn't swap prop valves, and the car bakes amazingly in autocross.

A buddy of mine has had 44 brake setups on his 96 sedan, and has never seen the need for a prop valve swap.

 

Sell it.

By part numbers the EX does have a different prop valve in it, however, you will see no gain by replaceing it. Really, if someone tells you different they don't know what they are talking about. I am speaking from experience when I say there is noithing to gain.

Keep everything from the car, except for the trailing arms, brake lines, e brake lines.


keep your toe arms, upper and lower control arms.

 

Damnit after reading so many forums and diy I was for sure I needed the prop valve lol. Guess Ill sell it, I should be able to at least get my money back.

 

The only thing you would possibly need to change is the brake master cylinder to at least a 7/8. If you have a 13/16 it MAY give out after awhile. But then again, it might not.

 

I have a 99 ex so would I need to change the MC? Since from what i read ex are pretty close to si.

Wrong. He does not need to change it, the EX is the same as the SI.

Nope. The EX/SI both share the same MC. They have the same front brakes.

 

Yea, an EX is a 7/8 so you should be good.
