Hi fellers. I'm coming from the all motor scene. I recently bought a 98 Integra with a lsvtec, and a turbo kit (I'm guessing its a eBay kit) says ar50 on it, also has rc 440 injectors and I was told its tuned on chrome.
I bought it really cheap because it was blowing a lot of smoke... So the head and block is in the machine shop right now getting rebuilt.
. The current turbo kit runs fine becuase when I test drove the car it pulled until 5k and after it will smoke like crazy. But still pulls when boosting

So my question is this. I want to upgrade to a Godspeed turbo (link is in the bottom) and a Godspeed exhaust manifold. Can I bolt both the manifold and turbo and use all the current oil lines, piping, intercooler?

Oh and I'm aiming for 250-290 atleast hp

One.more.question. the current kit has a wastegate but has a hole with 2 holes in it. Sortalike a flange....is that supposes to be open like that? Looks hollow

 

its not really an upgrade if you going from ebay to ebay...

as for using hte same parts. you can most likely use some of the old parts with some modification.

if you are using that turbo manifold. you would also need to get wastegate block off plate. also you would need a new downpipe.

you need to read the FAQ and do more research since you have no clue what you doing.

 

Oh okay so Godspeed is not so good ey. And yeah I should do more research. And how about that blockoff? Are you talking about the Godspeed or the current wastegate?

 

He was referring to the internal wastegate that the turbo you posted a link on has. No external wastegate would be needed. Check out the FAQ at the top of the Turbo section; it has a lot of great reads in there.

 

Godspeed= pile of ****. Use the price and some common sense to pick the replacement. If something seems to cheap to be true don't buy it.

+1 to that, my manifold from them is top notch, I have no doubt it will outlive the rest of the car. I can't recommend them enough.

 

Godspeed isn't an upgrade... They are ebay too.

And you are probably rebuilding the engine for no reason, although it is a good thing. But I put money on it, that the turbo is what was smoking, not your engine.
