Has this engine been taken apart, been honed, had rings done? Just asking as I had ring gaps set to stock on my engine, and the ring overheated and touched, breaking ringlands on #3 with a 100 shot.

Granted mine was an H23 crank and rods with H22A pistons, so higher compression.

 

i never opened the block. it still has the same headgasket and headbolts from when i bought the motor at jdmenginezone.com

thanks and the best part about that traction bar is that its lower than my headers and oil pan so that always hits before anything lol
