I would like to get new hardware for a header install.

Is the stock manifold held on by all studs/nuts? Mix of studs and bolts?

How many of each do I need for a full replacement?

This is for a 2000 Civic Si B16A2

I saw another post say it requires the following:
7 x 90001-P30-003 Bolt, Flange
2 x 90026-PE0-000 Bolt, Stud
2 x 90212-RCA-A01 Nut, Self-Lock

Can anyone back this up?

? What part isn't clear?

 

The stud part #'s are different as are the quantities in the schematic vs that guy's post.

Also if I am installing a 1 piece header I am assuming I would only need 2 out of the 3 the schematic is calling for.

Plus I just want a human being that knows the answer to tell me instead of buying things I might not need.

 

I usually run 9 studs and 9 nuts.

9 x 90026-PE0-000 Bolt, Stud
9 x 90212-RCA-A01 Nut, Self-Lock

But you can do it either way. The parts above are studs that get threaded into the block and a nut that threads onto that.

The other way has 7 regular bolts and 2 studs and 2 nuts on either end of the header flange.

Really up to you how you want to do it. I like the 9x9 way. It looks cleaner.

 

You probably could use the exsiting studs on the car now, just get new nuts, unless the studs are damaged.

 

I'm not sure. They have never been messed with. I think I have the only EM1 left with the stock exhaust manifold.

But yeah if the studs are like any of the other bolts on the car, I'd just rather replace them while I have them header off.

 

on obd2 b series you have 7 bolts and 2 studs.
