OK i have a 93 civic lx d15b7 5 spd. i can start the car up fine. it will idle fine and get to normal running temp.

Problem.. When i rev the engine up it hits 3k rpms sometimes 3.5k and then bounces down to 0 and stalls out the car.

i have heard backfires maybe 2 or 3.

what has been replaced:

vacuum lines
rotor and cap
ignition module
ignition coil Please Help!! thanks in advance
fuel pump for viewing.
fuel filter
spark plugs
wires
throttle body gasket
exhaust manifold gasket

 

Again. CELs? Does the CEL even work?

 

have you tryed the tp sensor and the map sensor wires they have the same plug and may be hooked up backwards happend to me before

 

no cels, and yes it works. im so lost i just want to get it working properly again.

 

hey i have no cels. i just wanted to talk with you seeing as how you seem to be on most. in reference to the d15b7 post about rpms not going past 3k and the car stalling

 

Check the mechanical timing. It may be off by a tooth.
