my 93 civic lx broke down recently. it would start up then automatically stall out. it wouldnt go to an idle. i cleaned the IACV and the FITV. now my car starts up and idles fine. so i tried to drive it but once i hit a certain rpm say around 3k it fluctuated and then stalled out. its like when i give it gas its ok but when i ease up on it it dies out. whatcha think?

list of new parts/ fixes:

fuel pump
fuel filter
ignition coil
ignition module
spark plugs
after market exhaust.(3in.)

My buddy has a SOHC in his civic and were driving and as he got to 3400-3600rpm the car just started to back fire almost like two step... but it wouldn't rev past 3600...and then she called it quits and left us stranded.. we tried new sensors and wires... it ended up being the Dizzy, somehow the rotor in the dizzy got all effed up... hope this works mannnn

Did you check the mechanical and ignition timings?
