Default Poly inserts = wicked vibration.

I purchsed the set of poly motor mount insert for the rear , left and right motor mounts. I read alot of theads about window weld and etc but these were cheap so I figured why bother.
Well the inserts arrived in the mail I was nervous right away since they were rock hard.

Well today I installed the passanger and rear inserts. And the vibration made my brain rattle. I ended up removing both passanger side inserts , and I removed one of the two rear inserts. But there is still a very noticeable amount of vibation.

This is no race rig, just a daily.

If anyone has window weld mounts or something similar. Please give me some details on the softness of the mount and if you have any vibration .

k , i've never felt in person. But the poly inserts are pretty much rock hard. A buddy of mine said GEO-GEL is a good filler that isnt rock hard.

do I have any other options?

Or should I try to remove the rear mount insert and leave just the side inserts ?

Is there something wrong with the stock mounts?

Nope , I get alittle chatter during take off. I was hopping better /stiffer mounts would help.

And they did , but not I have a wicked vibration which is much worse then the chatter.

Stiffer/harder mounts will give you more vibration.

I have poly bushings in the rear of my Civic. Not comfortable, but they came with the rear trailing arms.

My CRX has stock trailing arm bushings and it drives great! I will never go with poly for a daily especially.

Simply no way you can get better performance AND a comfy ride in this respect. Poly bushings remain on the track.

Get new oem mounts.

Hardrace mounts. Hard rubber (75a). Stiffer than stock with far less vibration than poly mounts/inserts. Been running these for 5 years now.
