Default PCV Question

Coming out of the black box on my b18c, i noticed that there is no valve, just a hose connecting it directly to where it normally would on the intake manifold. Is it ok to keep it like this?

You've probably got a bunch of oil being fed through the IM and being burned/gunked up around the injectors. I wouldn't suggest leaving it like that.

It is not running, it is sitting on the ground in front of the car and i am going over everything on it and replacing stuff now while it is out, as opposed to trying to fix it after i finish the swap and it is in the car.

ok, maybe im just overthinking the whole thing, because i know there is supposed to be a one way valve there, but it isnt, lol. Im more concerned about what has happenned because of it, as it was run this way in the shell it was in before.

I don't think it's a problem. Just install a PCV valve now.
