Why do you want to lube it? WD-40 won't lube it, its made to break down rusty bolts, etc.

White lithium grease is a good choice if you want something in a spray application. If the squeak continues after spraying it with white lithium the part will most likely need replacement.

white lithium spray would work i'm sure. i usually save that for metal to metal or metal to plastic contact like hinges and latches. I use silicone spray on all rubber peices. it seems to actually condition the rubber to some degree. it should stop the squeaks too.

better to buy it in aerosol form if you're not going to disassemble and lube each part

silicone spray... made by different companies ; just go to the auto section, even at walmart

good for door weatherstrips is the main thing i buy this can for,

but didn't know it's to check/isolate squeaks or squeals as well

silicone grease is good as well for dis-assembly
