Removing White Side Stripe
I have a 96 Honda Civic 2DR EX and I want to get rid of the white stripes running along the side of my car. Does anybody know how I can do this? Or if this is something that's pretty hard to do, any estimates on how much it would cost to get it removed? I want it to look clean either way. Please help.

Not sure what it is but if its like the stripes that were on my Prelude, just use your nails then rub out the sticky stuff with Goo Gone.

Yep...goof off or something similar from local auto parts store. Or you can take a hair dryer to it. Just get it really hot and it'll peel off in one fell swoop. If you get Goof off/bug be gone. Get a gel based one if you can and let it sit for a few seconds. It'll make it alot easier cause you won't have to scrape it off with nails. Just make sure to wash your car before or else you'll get swirl marks from dirt/sand when you rub it off.

if it is painted like my si's was then use 2000grit sandpaper and wet sand it. then when it is all gone use rubbing compound then glase and it looks good as new.

Re: (slammed00si)
They were vinyl on my 92 accord and I just peeled them off with my finger. The car had like 250,000 miles on it so under the stripes was the only place that was still shiney and had clear coat. So I ended up with a dull car with shiney stripes. I'm glad my ek did not come with them.
