I just purchased a 93 civic hatch with a new motor built by Synapse B16 long block. Skunk 2 cams. Its NA high compression and 243hp im told. the car doesn't have a tachometer and i'm not sure how high i can rev the motor without red lining. Motor has less than 5 miles on it. I have a Neptune RTP and bigger injectors waiting for spring. current set up is stock injectors and intake. Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

8600 is certainly safe, see where the power dips off. and quit reving.

Wouldn't be a bad idea to program in a rev limiter. Red lining and rev limiting are not the same thing.

 

You should definitely get a tach

 

any suggestions on intakes for a hot NA b16. it has a 70mm bbk throttle body.

im looking for a dash cluster with tach. im trying for the stealth look.

 

Ok when I said get a tach that's what I meant even though OEM tachs aren't super accurate
