Ok so I started installing a 95 del sol harness (complete front to back) into my 89 crx, now I came across one problem and it had to be my fuel tank. Ive looked and done some research and it seems like the Fuel gauge sending unit connector and also the unit ofcourse isnt there.. Will I have any fuel problems if I don't connect that? Or is there a way around it? Any help is deeply appreciated thank you

 

you should have an electrical connector (3 wire on 90-91 models) under the cargo storage unit.

you should still have a fuel pump connector back there. you should have power, ground, and sending unit (gauge on cluster). i know newer cars (like your del sol harness) have a low fuel light wire as well.

 

My crx only has one plug going to the fuel pump with 4 wires

 

How many does the del so harness have? That should be the one you are need to wire jnto

 

The del sol has the 4 wire plug and also a separate connector that's called fuel gauge sending unit , this connects to the del sol tank

 

Like stated,crx models have the sending unit (under the cargo box area,round metal cover-3 screws.But no low fuel light on USDM models -in case you're swapping speedos that has that light) You should be good if you wire the Del Sol harness up using the existing fuel sending unit's plugs from orig harness...

If you need the low light sending unit-Source an EF wagovan's fuel sending unit (and run the wiring-it has the low light unit needed for some speedo cluster installs,i.e- jdm/edm crx speedos.I've been told integra no go due to differences in tank hole without modding hole) Looking for one myself since I've installed a cable UKDM crx VT speedo (their SiR model) in muh 91.EF wagovans were plentiful in the junkyards around me-until I actually needed something from one of them,only seeing 3rd gen wagovans now-lol...
