Starts with remote but not with key
ok so my idle was always bouncing up and down. so i adjusted my idle screw then unplugged the IACV and it ran fine all day with no idle bounce. this morning i tried to change out my bad headlight. idk if the wires touched or anything but now when i try to start the car with the key all it does is crank. i try with the remote start and it starts. i can gas it all day. but if i tap the brake and then the gas, RPM's will raise, then immediately drop and car dies. i plugged back in the IACV and same thing just with an annoying idle. when i press the break i hear a click like something turned on. im really stumped and need help please anyone. also when the cars on without the key, i press the brake and it dies immediately.

ok so lastnight i found a switch and clicked it to see what it did but nothing happened. i found the problem. inside the dash theres the switch. just before i lost hope i remembered it. i turned it back off and guess what cars fine again. this stupid guy that i bought the car from literally put a switch on the car that effs up everything. AHHHHHHHH ive already fixed millions of mistakes he made and im only 16. damn, sad
It's probably a cut off switch, so someone who tries to steal the car thinks it isn't worth the effort. I wouldn't call that a mistake, I'd call that genius.
