when starting car..idle flys up to 1500 then down to 200 and bogs then rises to norma
when my car is cold/ hasnt been turned on over night and i go to leave in the morning...i turn the car on and the idle goes up to about 1500 rpms then down to like 200 then back to a normal idle but if i try to start going it will bog for a second then it will be perfectly fine...its just when it starts...after that it doesnt do it unless the car sits for a while and is no longer warmed up.
another problem i've been having is when i come up to a red light for instance and i put my car in neutral as im slowing down the idle will be at the right spot...but right when i come to a complete stop the idle drops to about 200 rpms...and the car starts shaking as if its an old car and the air conditioning is on and making the car almost die out..
i was thinking maybe it could be my IACV?? i cleaned mine out before with brake cleaner but then someone told me that was a bad idea because brake cleaner is strong it could melt down the plastic valve behind the screen and mess up the IACV...
any ideas?
i dont want to mess with the idle screw because that never fixes the problem...tried it..

Yeah i just put a skunk2 70mm throttle body on and it does the same thing. I figure since the idle adjusts on its own the IAC valve is ok. I'm gonna do a idle adjustment tonight to see if it corrects the problem. I'm sure thats all you need too. You don't have a check engine light do you???

no engine lights but i just read in another thread to turn the car on and take the intake off..then put your palm over the entire throttle body..if the car shuts off theres no vacuum leak..but mine dropped really low and almost died but stayed on...so maybe i have a vacuum leak? but idk how to find it

Spray brake clean all around the intake manifold and if the idle stabilizes when you're spraying in a certain spot you know the leak is around that spot...

The IAC valve and your idle adjustment screw... By the way, i loosened my idle screw like a half turn and now its fine.
