Default .5 over size valves Will it clear pistons

Ok so I just info from pineapple racing on the cylinder head I bought from a friend, I was told it had a port polished job, 5 angle valve job on the intake and 3 angle on the exhaust, spring package, head milled down to the minimum, and .5 oversize stainless steel valves. I was wondering if it would clear my 84mm 12.1 compression pistons in a ls block? Should I buy a thicker head gasket? If so how thick?

What brand pistons are you using? and what camshafts? how much was your block milled?

btw, since your in Fresno, that pineapple head has been around for sometime, if it's the same one I remember seeing with the very BIG BIG ports, that was like 7-8 years ago.

and if it is the same head, I believe that the portwork was meant for some turbo engine spinning at some high rpms or a big stroke/high comp. race motor.

Im using supertech pistons and I'm planning on running s2 pro2, the block has not been milled. I'm from crescent city now I got the head from over here. maybe it made its way here?

oh ok im sorry, thought you're in fresno, any pictures of the head?

Clay the motor and check v2v clearence is gonna be your best bet!

If there is not enough v2v clearence, what I would do is re-cut the seats and sink the valves in a bit.

I'm thinking it problably is the head from down there. I asked pinnapple racing and they said it was built in feb. Of 01. Should I buy new valvetrain for it? Ill try to get pictures of it up

If it has a oversized exhaust port, meaning the opening/exhaust is oversized then I garantee you it is the head from here. It was back in 04-05 when I first saw it, the portwork look decent, but it was way oversize for any non-turbo applications. Post up some pictures, im pretty sure it is.

It's been a long time as you can see, so im not sure what valve train it's got in there, last I remember was a ported bare head with guides, caps, seals and spring seats.

They told me they put in a spring package, I just couldn't pass up the deal I traded my stock head plus $350. Ill try to get up pictures tomorrow.
