HID Light Bulb or Kit issue
So I bought a car 97 Ek with HID Kit installed.
So my question is.
1. Is the bulb replaceable with just ones you can get from the local autozon/napa or w/e. or is it a special bulb that can be only ordered online.
2. just last night my right headlight wont turn on consistently. u turn it on it stays on and its still bright as hell. but once you turn it off there is a 10% chance it wont turn back on you have to turn it off and on like a few times before it will kick in. (im taking to a shop soon to check the wiring or get it rewired.)
3. im afraid of the cost ;( or replacement. would you recommend just going back to regular. im ot smart at cars at all since im still learning. from the looks of it there was alot of cutting and rewiring so going back to OEM woudnt work probably.
any input would be great

Sounds like a ballast issue, not a bulb issue. Switch the driver side and passenger side bulbs around and see if the problem moves with the bulb or not.
If it does, it is a bulb issue. If it stays in the same location, it is either a wiring issue or a ballast issue. I am sure you can swap ballasts around too in order to determine exactly what the issue is.

Never, never, never touch the glass portion of the bulb. Never. You'll shorten the bulb's lifespan significantly.
No, you cannot get replacement bulbs at autozone. Yes, replacement bulbs are pricey. No, you won't have to replace them more than twice during the life of the car, if you buy good bulbs.
