Default Cluster doesn't work.

I have a 96' accord manual trans 2 dr. The cluster just sticks at 20 any idea what is wrong with it? I also changed it already for another one and just keeps sticking at 20.

If the vss is working, check by seeing if the cruse control works, it is probably the circuit board inside the speedometer. See the FAQ section as to how to change it out. Mine was doing the same thing and it turned out that the screws that held in the circuit board was loose.

Did you take components out of the new cluster? Check all connectors and screws.

Well I took the cluster out checked all the wiring tightened all the screws and put everything back together. It works but then it starts sticking at 20 again. So it works off and on. Anything else i could do? Maybe just get another cluster?

Following the posted FAQ, once you remove the clear lens, by releaseing the seven tabs, removing the four small screws will let the whole center MPH section fall out. You can then replace the circuit board only, or center section, or if you have the exact same cluster and do not care what number of miles it has, replace the whole cluster .....
