distributor dust cover

distributor dust cover

i got a distributor and it didn't come with the cap, rotor, and dust cover... is the dust cover important?

Yes. Run without it if you want to see HOW important.

How important ? I have tried to find the cover online.. Can't seem to find one. ..

No. There's a plastic casing on the inside of the distributor. The ignition rotor sits on top of it if i'm not mistaken.
