92 integra b20 swap (no spark)
Hey guys i recently just swapped in a b20 into my integra. Well now its not getting spark. What all should i check. i know its not the plugs, wire, or distributor so far. And i have everything plugged in that i can. But there is this plug. Whats it go to?????????
Can someone please help me guys? Ive tried searching and dont know where i messed up. Is this wire important? why doesnt my wiring harness have this plug? Do i have the wrong harness? everything else plugs in perfect.
okay well the b20 utilizes a crank sensor mounted at the crank, while the obd1 integra uses one built into the distributor. your ecu is not going to see ckp signal since you're using the obd1 harness. use the da distributor and ecu
and yes, what are those cut wires?

Actually the B20 (US only) use a CKF sensor at the crank. This differs from the CKP sensor in the distributor. The CKP is in the B20 distributor as well as the B18 so this shouldn't matter especially if you are using an OBD1 ECU. I'm more concerned about those stack of cut wires.
are you sure? i mean, that it's ok to use an obd1 ecu with an obd2 distributor?
i was always under the impression that you needed to use the distributor that correlates to it's ecu

when i first did my gsr swap in a DA, i had the same problem...check all your grounds..and try switching dizzy to an LS like they mention above...my problem was solved by a new dizzy and better grounding!!
OBD1/OBD2a/b distributors are compatible with OBD1/OBD2a/b ECU's. OBD0 distributors and ECU's can't be crossed with OBD1/2 distributors and ECU's.
^^ahhh gotcha. so the distributor pin out is the same between obd1 and 2?
if so, then let's carry on.
as asked previously, what are those cut wires?
if that's explainable, next thing i'd do is check for codes.
if no codes present, with the key on, check for 12 volts at the black w/yellow tracer wire of the 2 pin distributor connector
