Icon2 92 civic ecu ? Please help.

I have a 92 civic vx, it had a b16a2 full swap. Motor locked up I bought the car had a mechanic put in a b18b1 motor I bought off of craigslist. It had a p30 ecu running in it I swapped it out for a p28 right before I got it running.

The car ran fine for a couple days I sold the p28 needed the money of course.
Then I put the p30 back in there. It now throws a VTEC code and knock sensor code and back fires a little when im in the throttle about 20 percent (which is about where I would be in 5 gear cruising).

My question would be that I figure I should swap out the ecu for a b18b1 ecu which when I search I get all kinds of results like the b18b1 ecu is a p75 or a p72. Which is the correct ecu and could I run a p06 non VTEC ecu and be fine?

Thanks in Advance.

Also I forgot to note it runs pretty rich like any time I'm getting in the throttle it seems to burn gas so bad that I can smell it even with the windows up and the motor idles at like 400 rpm's.

That or you can chip a P06 or with a P74/75 basemap whichever's cheaper.
