ECU Question..?
hey
i got a 92 hatch w. a 2nd gen b16a w. a p30 ECU
ever since my swap my ecu is throwing code 23..which is the knock sensor..
i'm not gonna bother to get rid of it..cuase i'm gonna get a chip ecu anyways..
my question is in the mean time..will this throw my ECU into LIMP mode? cuase now i get such shitty gas mileage....i swear i can see my needle go down..the motor seem to run really strong though..any thoughs?

Its not that hard to fix, you said that this has happened ever since the swap right? Well I had this about a week ago and the problem was bcuz the sensors were swapped w/ each other. On the back of the block there are two connectors that are exactly the same and can be interchanged w/ each other. One is the knock sensor and the other I believe is the heated o2 sensor. Just go underneath the car and swap the two. Its in the middle of the block on the back side of the motor (knock sensor) and the heated o2 should be across from that closer to the firewall.
Hope thats the problem

not true at all.
I can easily reprogram any OBD1 ecu whether it be JDM, US, or Euro spec.
Some people can't reprogram the small JDM P30 ecu's because their ecu-parts resources are limited.
