Throw out bearing?
This is for my SCCA FP crx, 1991 Si. I put in a centerforce clutch, etc. with flywheel that measures the same offsets.
The last time I drove this car we thought we lost the clutch, in ITA trim. Corner workers said there was a puff of smoke.
Two years later at first test day with above clutch package the clutch feels like only ingauging half way making it hard(crunchy and car will drive itself with clutch in and car in gear) to shift. New clutch cable, new throw out. With the cable off the clutch/throw out fork arm moves half way till you hear it touch. I have another trans, and engine trans is out of the car. Both trans parts look the same. The throw out bearing came with the kit, but it seems like it is a 1/4" short or so.
I am getting ready to put the next built motor in with trans but have not been able to find a issue to solve this. Ideas anybody?
Thanks

Sorry! my bad... In Fp you have to run a stock d16(ish) motor so this is a cable clutch. The parts were ordered, and I called again to make sure, for a 1991 CRX Si. I didn't even say it was a track car. Its the same flywheel, as king moto shows for 90-91.
So you are saying it is the pressure plate and clutch disk for a hydro Clutch? The centerforce kit?
We have been questioning if the fingers in the pressure plate are not correct. I will call king motorsports and order from them this time, if I have the same issue I guess I have a spare.
Can I just order the hydro throw out bearing? Does anyone know if it is taller/longer and work in the same configuration as a cable throw out

OK just make sure you never order 1 from somebody that has it listed as 88-91.
depends on what cable trans it is because i believe the 88-91 cable trans the teeth on the shaft are different as well between cable and hydro so it wont work all together. u need a cable clutch kit for an 88 and yes the throw out bearing is not the same in hydro or cable clutches. if your looking for just a throw out bearing i have a new one i bought with my clutch kit a long time ago. i have a hydro trans so i never used it and it's brand new if ur interested PM me...
