cast vs ramhorn manifold - sound ?
I have a ramhorn manifold.
I have never used a cast manifold.
Does the sound of the car change according to the manifold being cast or steel tubular in terms of noise level ?

Unless you drastically change exhaust runner lengths, the exhaust tone isnt going to change. This can be seen on Subarus...stock manifolds are unequal and give the distinct sound, but if you change them to EQ manifolds, the uneven 'subaru' sound goes away
I had a ebay cast iron manifold and switching from that to Go-Autoworks Ramhorn, car def sounds alot stronger when it opens up in vtec. A cast manifold made my exhaust sound deeper. With the Ramhorn the pitch of my exhaust did change, a bit more high pitched once it goes into vtec, sounds good though. This video is a good comparison, the EG has a cast manifold from what I was told and the DA has a Ramhorn manifold, you can hear the obvious difference in sound.

I love the spool...it reminds me of my S256. Is that a 30R?
As for the exhaust tone, i couldnt tell a difference. If you could put two identical cars next to one another and change out the manifolds, then maybe you would notice a difference. Otherwise, its pretty much all the same.

i could care less about exhaust note....what i care about is my turbo spooling is louder than the exhaust....gotta love anti surge housings

In your specific case, you probably won't notice a huge difference in sound if the only thing you change is the manifold. If you went to a long-runner manifold, possibly.
As for the video you posted.First off, the two engines have different displacements. 1.8L vs 2.0L will always sound different. Second, if they have different exhaust diameters, lengths, OR mufflers, they will sound different. Turbine housing size, cylinder pairing, and exhaust runner length will all play a part in how a motor sounds. This is just on the exhaust side. The intake side has an equal number of variables to change how the car sounds as well.

yeah I wasn't referring to the DA's 3076r anti-surge housing sound, that's a distinctive sound everyone knows lol. you can hear the difference in the exhaust notes when they do the fly bys under the bridge.
