92 VX Engine "Died" While Running, and Now Won't Start.
Hello all,
I have a 92 VX EG that had its engine turn off while driving. Now it wont start. Engine turns over, I can smell gas, but wont fire back up. Also, the battery has plenty of energy known due to strong starter response when I turn the key on to attempt to start.
Before I begin testing the electrical system for what the problem is I am wondering if there is an obvious fix for this first.
Thanks ahead of time.

Have not checked for spark yet, I will go to where the car is stranded tonight with tools, light, and a multimeter.
I plan to test the coil, and main relay. I have replaced the ICM in January, so that is unlikely to be to blame. The timing belt didn't snap (I left the belt cover off when I changed the belt is Feb., and I saw it spin).
