Default 92 VX Engine "Died" While Running, and Now Won't Start.

Hello all,

I have a 92 VX EG that had its engine turn off while driving. Now it wont start. Engine turns over, I can smell gas, but wont fire back up. Also, the battery has plenty of energy known due to strong starter response when I turn the key on to attempt to start.
Before I begin testing the electrical system for what the problem is I am wondering if there is an obvious fix for this first.

Thanks ahead of time.

It could possibly be your main relay.

Have you checked to make sure you are getting spark?

Have not checked for spark yet, I will go to where the car is stranded tonight with tools, light, and a multimeter.
I plan to test the coil, and main relay. I have replaced the ICM in January, so that is unlikely to be to blame. The timing belt didn't snap (I left the belt cover off when I changed the belt is Feb., and I saw it spin).

Turned out that it was the ICM located in the distributor. Only a year old part, but it went bad regardless.
