Icon6 Battery smoking & will not start after new battery, main relay, and fuel pump.

I am keeping a log of this weird problem in hopes someone will help me figure out what is going on. I am not sure what else to check or where to go from here. Thanks in advance.

Normal morning... then rotten egg smell coming from the battery. Drove it for an hour parked 4 hours started it and drove another hour. Parked 5 minutes and battery died. Jump started it and noticed the battery was smoking or steaming. Drove it around 30 minutes then all the lights shutoff and the car died instantly on the highway.

-New battery but will not start dash lights weak but starter turns over strong. Seems like the fuel pump is not priming.

-Checked fuses; lots of fuses blown including ecu fuse. Seems to keep burning fuses. Main relay smells burnt so replaced. Fuel pump still not priming so replaced it.

-Still no start and fuel pump not priming. SRS fuse keeps blowing.

You have a short somewhere. Check all your ground wires.

Almost sounds like batt. is connected backwards, or there is a bad short or poor main ground.

As mentioned, check your main grounds, batt. to chassis and chassis to engine, do not just eyeball the connections, remove clean both contact surfaces and reconnect.

Just in case, make sure you have the correct batt., batt. come with pos.(+) and neg.(-) posts on either side. 94

I would start looking for short, think of something you've changed in few weeks before problem started. Even replacing a bulb or fuse...
Not 100% sure but sounds like ECU ground burned up... check all the fuses, replace any relay that not look right... after all that done, try with good ECU. ECU you can get at any junk yard for like 50$

You can find a cheaper ecu on Craigslist.
