The piping kit came with no instructions so I'm sorta guessing where stuff goes.

Coming off of it I found an S shaped piece of pipe that comes down to where I'd just need a 90 degree to get to the intercooler. Although the S is to long and would have to be cut down. It's odd that it has a tube sticking out the side and a bracket that goes no where. I'm sure this was intended to go somewhere else.



Here on the driver's side I have a U shaped piece that should join to a 90 degree piece coming off the turbo. However the U shape is way to big so I'll have to cut a section out the center and then weld it back.

I also have two extra pieces you can see sitting on the ground there. The other piece under the car is exhaust down pipe, ignore that. I imagine one of the two left over 90s on the floor can be cut and made to fit on the passenger's side.

no matter what you do, you will need it cut/welded for perfect fit.

if you want to do it right, u want to weld as much as u can but still be able to take everything apart if needed. Use the least amount of couplers as necessary

 

maybe you inter cooler is mounted to high try n measure it up to you grill.

 

I never thought of that. Good point though, I can think of a couple joints that would be welded eliminating two joints.

No if anything the intercooler needs to be moved up a tad. When I put the bumper back it catches at the bottom and I have to really pull and stretch the bumper up to get it over.

Unfortunately my welder doesn't do aluminum very well so I'll have to take it to a local shop to get it done nicely but the trips back and forth should be worth it in the end.

 

The "S" pipe in the second pic is the intake for the turbo, it doesnt see pressure.
At least thats how mine fit

 

^^^This is correct. It is an intake pipe for a filter directly off of the turbocharger. that's why the bracket is there.

 

Ah ok. I'll need to figure out another way to get that passenger's side corner taken care of.
