You dont have enough manifold or turbo for Pro1's. get your self some ctr/itr cams for that turbo

well i still have my stock SiR cams but would it be a good idea to to keep the intake pro1 cam n get a GsR exhaust cam, seeing as the intake cam is similar to the type R cam?

Keep the oil squirter to unless you have to get rid of them from clearance issues. A jet of oil spraying up onto the piston crown beats any so called tuning tricks in cooling piston crown temps.

Sell off the Pro1s., get CTRs or GS-Rs. Unless you're running a larger mid-framed sized turbo (GT35R or larger), you're actually going to lose power.

For 300whp stock b16 cams will be more than enough, even for that smaller turbo. People have done 400whp with bone-stock b18c1's on pump gas. You can keep them for the time being, but I'd suggest pulling them out soon. The best thing to do is to build the bottom end, get the motor running, then upgrade the head later.

FYI if you don't plan to ever go much higher in power, get some 10:1 pistons. Otherwise 9:1 would let you grow later down the road. 10:1 is a better option for power only if you have big cams, and 8:1 is only needed on crazy builds and DSM's.

I agree a set of GSR cams work well with a mild boost set up and are a set up from B16 cams. Many people report a faster spool and more low end with GSR cams. I am going to swap to GSR cams I think when I put a turbo on my LS Vtec. CTR have been seen to make very good gains with a turbo set up, if you can find some at that is the best way to go. And yeah keep the oil squirters they will help decrease pistons temps big time, very important when boosting.
